LIFE Archiclima is a project whose aim is to effectively support property managers and owners in building resilience to the threatening effects of climate change. The service involves determining the areas of necessary and possible adaptation of large-scale facilities using nature-based solutions. Its culmination is an adaptation plan containing an architectural design that will ensure safety and reduce the negative impact of the infrastructure on the climate.
The Resilient Project is a labeling system for public facilities, designed to enhance their resistance to current and future climate-related events. It aims to raise awareness among facility users about climate threats and the potential for mitigation using Nature-Based Solutions (NBS).
Role of visual graphic designs created for this project are:
- to help with the the facility evaluation process
- to educate and build awareness among users of the facilities
- to promote nature-based solutions in urban spaces.

Facility's entrance sign is a special sticker with the Resilient logo along with the degree number (from one to five) received during the evaluation process. The degree represents the grade of facility's level of resilience. This sticker is supposed to be placed on glass doors in the main entrance of the building.
Each of the board applies to the most popular NBS (Nature Based Solution), where one board corresponds to one solution and serves explanatory and informative purpose. Facilities can apply these solutions in order to enhance their resilience to climate changes and ensure a good grade in the evaluation process The idea is to print the tables directly on the material, e.g. plexiglass or print on foil. They serve strictlyeducational purposes.
Wall design
Informative wall design consists of the slogan, logo, and diamond-shaped elements, which are an important and a recurring element in this visual system. They contain information about the level of resilience achieved by the facility. In this particular design they have also a decorative purpose by presenting nature based solution examples used in the given facility.
All of the solutions are briefly described. Wall design have informative and educational purposes.

Infobox layouts
An additional form of supporting promotion of Resilient labeling are graphic boards for multimedia infoboxes prepared in 3 different formats.
Billboard
Another piece made for marketing purposes is billboard's graphic design, intended for external use.
Certificates
As final part of the evaluation process the representatives of assessed facilities are supposed to receive a certificate in the format A4, which contains object data, number of the score obtained and the date of the evaluation. The certificate is supposed to be placed in any representative area.
Manual
Manual is a simple guide in form of PDF document with all the knowledge about the visual information system condensed in the most accessible way. It is supposed to be given to every facility's representative after finishing evaluation process. It explains each form of visual information in the system and gives recommendations about its usage and implementation.
Disclaimer: This is not a solo-handled project, it is an effect of a collaborative work with other members of the team. Designing part was shared mostly by two people. Even though I was present during the whole process, my main focus was put on designing Educational boards, Infobox layouts, Wall Design, and Manual.
